The base polarizer of a transmissive segment liquid crystal is a transmissive polarizer, and it requires continuous use of the backlight to see the displayed content.
Transflective segmental liquid crystal is in between the above two, the bottom polarizer can be partially reflective, generally with a backlight, when the light is good, the backlight can be turned off, and the backlight can be lit when the light is poor.
The display mode of segment LCD is also divided into positive display and negative display, positive display refers to black characters on a white background, and positive display is the best in reflective and trans-reflective display; The negative display is white on a black background, and the negative display is generally used for the transmission type, plus the backlight is used.
The connection between the segment LCD screen and the circuit board can be connected by pins, zebra strips, zebra paper, etc.
Segment LCD uses different colors of backlight to display different colors.
